1st Occupation

On Monday 13th December 2010, we entered occupation of A12 Hugh Owen. We demanded the University condemn the funding cuts and assert the role of the university as a vital agent of a progressive society and of education as a public good available to all and not a commodity limited to those who can afford it. The December Occupation incorporated the Free University, and also included a music night. We drew large support from both students and staff, including entire departments.

On Wednesday 15th December 2010, the first occupation concluded.
