On 22nd February, 2011, the Guild of Students lead a protest through town to the Old College, where a meeting on the University finance was being held. Aber Students Against Cuts directed the demonstrators into the building, where our united voice reverberated throughout the concourse as the stamping of a feet shook the building to its core. This protest resulted in the University making a series of agreements over housing provision.
As the protest concluded, students set in motion a plan. We would re-occupy A12; thus beginning the 2nd occupation of A12, which spanned from this 600 person local protest on February 22nd, to the protest of hundreds of thousands in London on March 26th.
Again, the occupation incorporated the Free University, and live music nights. We also hosted meetings with other groups, including UCU.
